I hate being practical sometimes

So, one part of my brain says that I have enough Xmas money to go buy a Nintendo DS Lite and CoM or Nintendogs or Super Mario Brothers or Brain Age a couple of games. Or even buy a Wii and Twilight Princess. Or a whole truckload of the manga volumes I've missed. Or anime DVD boxsets.

You know, things. Shiny shiny things that will make me happy and provide entertainment.

The other part of my brain says that I should be putting that money in my bank account because I have loans to pay off and I just paid one of the loan bills for January, but the big one is due on the 15th.

I'm... going to go eat some cookies or something. And plot what to do to get out of the house tomorrow since today and tomorrow are my mom's days off and I don't wanna be around her any more than I have to since she says the same things over and over and if I hear it anymore I might kill myself or something.

I could... probably go to the bank. And the post office. Then sit in a bookstore and read the stuff I won't buy for myself. *sighs* Stupid practicality.

the loves shiny things part of me wants to urge to to buy Twilight Princess, the practical sice wants to say save it for a rainy day. . . go half and half instead.

If you want to be discouraged: Wii's are still pretty damn difficult to get a hold of, and pretty damn costly. Plus Twilight Princess is available on the GameCube, which is coincidentally the platform it was intended for. Waiting a couple years until the availability goes up and the price goes down has always been my method ^_~ I just borrow my friends' game systems. |D

If you want to be encouraged: Twilight Princess is oh so pretty and the Wii-mote thing that you wave around is actually pretty damn fun. Also DS has so many nice games available for it~ mmmm I want one. Not to mention the paint-chat feature on them... Admittedly I don't know what the difference between DS Lite and regular DS is, but overall they're sweet little things.
