So, I was watching some show last night... well, not really watching. It's more like the TV was on so I could have some background noise while I surfed online. But I was sorta paying attention to what was on. Anyway, prefab homes were mentioned, so I did a quick google search and found all of these interesting places from fabprefab...

m-ch -- Micro Compact Home. Holy crap. These houses look pretty awesome, as far as design goes. I mean, sure, it's very small... but it just LOOKS cool. And damn, why couldn't I have had a dorm room like THAT? I would've eaten it up (yes, these m-chs were set up as experimental dorms on some campus and the students loved them). It's just... really cute. ♥ Only in Europe though so far.

weeHouse. This is pretty cool and cute, too, and based in the US. I like how there are so many modules to chose from, and you can attach them or stack them up or twist them around to build something perfect for you. ♥ It's like building with legos.

Loftcube. Now THIS is just trendy and cool and sleek and OMGWTFTHESHOWER. I was flailing last night at [livejournal.com profile] askerian over this, because I couldn't figure out how the bathroom fixtures worked at first. XD! Everything is just so... fabulous and chic that it boggles my mind. But I'm still trying to figure out where the toilet is.

up! house. This is another one of those trendy and futuristic designs. The whole concept seems to be a house raised up on minimal but sturdy supports (kinda looks like it's floating). There's the panoramic view window, which seems to be the main focus. Very awesome looking. And you can choose the outside colors. :3

I think that's it for my random geekery.

*pets you* I never had a head for space and numbers and such. XP Anyway, the fabprefab site has some really great links to like... everything. ♥

Heheheh... and here I thought I'd be babbling about a topic no one would be interested in.

you babble, people listen. ;)

and yeah, those are cute... but can't see them taking off much in the midwest. bad enough with trailers, those mini-homes would be so farkin' gone! :)

XD!

That would be horrible. Though, the house ARE connected to the ground, for electricty and water and all that stuff. It's not like they just plop them down and go "Enjoy!" Still, it would be horrible to lose a $100k custom house to a tornado.
