Hilde’s hands slipped off his shoulder, sliding down his chest, brushing across his nipples as her tongue swiped the inside of his mouth. A stuttering hiss escaped his lungs. They’d kissed before, many times, but never...

He gripped at her arms, silently urging her to stop, to take her hands away -- but she didn’t feel his signal, or maybe she misread it. Instead, she slipped her hands into his lap, massaging him through the thin fabric of the robe. His breathing quickened, heart sped up as his body began to respond to her hands --

--rough hands scraping down his chest, sharp nails scratching his stomach, grasping and squeezing his hips with bruising force --

“No!” he shrieked, lashing out with all the force he could muster. He tore away from Hilde, shoving her backwards off his lap. Off-balance, she bit off the vicious swear word that forced its way past her lips as she tumbled to the ground. Rotted leaves clung to her clothes as she scrambled to her feet, swiping her messy bangs out of her eyes and regarding Duo with a mixture of anger and incredulity.

Hunched small, one hand out as if to ward off an attack, Duo edged backwards on the log away from her. The only sound in the clearing was the insyncopated rhythm of harsh breathing as Duo fought to control the sick terror washing through him.

“Oh Gods,” he said faintly, when he finally managed to uncurl a little from his ball. “Oh Gods. Don’t... don’t do that again, Hilde...”

An expression crossed her face like the mixture of an angry scowl and a disappointed pout. “Why not, Duo? What’s the matter? You liked it. I could tell.”

“...you like this... you want this...”

Dizzied, Duo fought the rising urge to vomit. His breathing was still too fast, too shallow -- he fought to even it out, before he choked on his own bile. “Damn it, Hilde... don’t touch me like that ever again. Not ever. Not ever!”

“You’re acting like you expect me to hurt you,” Hilde said angrily. She took a step nearer, halting when Duo cringed backwards. Her expression was set, glowing like heated metal. “You know I wouldn’t do that. I’ve always loved you. And now I’m ready to take the next step!”
