Hold on to my hands I feel I'm stinking Stinking without you
For a long moment, Heero's gaze was locked with his; he slowly pulled back, never letting go of Duo's hand, until at last he knelt before him. "Hai," he said quietly. "I have something I want to give to you, Duo."
Heart in his mouth, Duo watched breathless as Heero reached his free hand into the breast pocket of his jacket -- next to his heart -- and pulled out a little black box. He paused for a moment, looking back up to catch Duo's eyes, and slowly extended the box in front of him.
And to my mind Everything's stinking Stinking without you
He couldn't wait a moment longer -- abruptly, Duo reached shaking fingers forward to reach the box.
He touched nothing but air. The box, and Heero vanished as they never been, and left Duo standing alone again in the apartment.
I miss you when you're gone That is what I do Hey baby It's hard to carry on
"Damn," Duo muttered, and heaved a sigh. "Moved too fast again."
He rubbed his hands over his face, and blew out a breath, eyes staring unseeing around the room. The song ended, and Duo went back to eat his dinner. It was probably cold by now.
