There's nothing like some shopping to make me feel better, especially when I'm not paying the bill. I went out to the mall today with my mom, since I've been wanting to get an actual pair of sandals I can use all the time (instead of the black slip ons I normally wear). I ran my last pair of sandals down completely, mostly because I took them with me when I went to Thailand. XD;; The climate (and the fact that I wore them All The Time when I went out everywhere on the weekends) decimated them. I'd like to find another hardy pair of sandals like that again, that I can wear and utterly decimate.

Stopped by Robinsons May because they had a free gift with purchase thing that my mom was interested in. She's a sucker for those free gifts. I found some nice sandals there, but they weren't in my size. Dammit. x__X They were cute, too. Then my mom dragged me to the Lancome counter, bullied me into buying some nifty face powder (the bottle is attached to the brush, which is cool and handy) which I admit, I sorta need to keep away the shine, and that purchase was enough for the free gift. Which I happened to express interest in, and now I have it stolen and sitting in my bedroom. It's a nice cosmetic bag, and it came with an eyeshadow palette, mascara, lipstick, eye liner, and some facial stuff, and a set of three brushes. It's actually very nice. And cute.

We walked around the Mall more (visiting Suncoast and Godiva and Victoria's Secret and such), and I found the Proactiv cart. I caved and bought myself the 5 set, and I'm going to start using it tonight, in hopes of ridding myself once and for all of my acne. [livejournal.com profile] sukino said she's used it and it works, and my cousin did, too, so that's a good enough say for me. Hopefully I don't have some freakish allergic reaction or something.

We went into another shoe store, too, but DAMMIT the sandals I wanted weren't in my size there either! What does it take to find some good sandal in size 6 1/2-7? *gnaws things*

After that, we decided to grab food from the food court to take home (it's so hot and not conducive to cooking). I got myself some Panda Express. Yum. Even if I had to stand behing the two, possibly stupidest, people on the face of the planet. I guess they were illiterate, because they obviously couldn't read THE BIG GIANT LIGHTED SIGN ABOVE THEIR HEADS TO ORDER. You know, the sign that TELLS YOU HOW MUCH EVERYTHING IS? *sighs* I really wanted to throttle the girl (I say girl instead of woman or lady, because she annoys me and is not smart enough to be called woman) in front of me, who was obviously on the Atkins diet, because she didn't want the rice in her mandarin bowl. She wanted vegetables instead of the rice. The lady behind the counter told her that the mandarin bowl INCLUDED rice WITH the vegetables and chicken, and you couldn't change it. Then the girl hemmed and hawed, asked more stupid questions, then ordered the vegetables only. And maybe chicken; I don't know, I was trying not to smack her on the back of the head with my bag.

So then we went home and I had quite and enjoyable dinner. And dad better not have eaten those two veggie spring rolls I was saving. Those are MINE.

...dude...she can't just not eat the rice? I mean, if I can resist the siren lure of the rice, then so can she.

But having it on her plate would infect her other food with carb cooties!

THAT was exactly what I was wondering. But no, that way would be the SANE and LOGICAL thing, and this girl (and her mom) wanted to utterly try my patience and good faith in humanity.

God forbid a grain of rice gets on her veggies.
