*yawns* I woke up late and missed breakfast. T__T Much sadness. AT least I have a lovely fruit basket in my room, courtesy the maid who cleans up. :3 I shall raid it for my nourishment.

Anywhoo... let me catch up on all the insanity that's been going on.

MONDAY:

Not much interesting happened. XP I was still blitzed from Samui and REALLY didn't want to go to class today. But I did, and also found out that Sabrina's tailor lady was coming this morning (I declined to go) and on Wednesday morning, too. I would go on Wednesday, because all I needed was my dress and to pay her.

Class was blah, and then I found out that I had to do a presentation for Int'l Legal Problems, too! Argh! So, guess what I had to do tonight? XP

TUESDAY:

As stated before, a hell of a day, absolutely packed from top to bottom. The day started at 10am (well, 8am because I had to get breakfast, commute, etc.) with Int'l Legal Problems, where I lucked out, stayed silent, and didn't have to present. Class actually went a little longer past 12pm.

Then I ran to the cafe in the lobby (we're ont he 11th floor) to get a ham and cheese croissant and had that before the double Regional Org'z class from 12-4pm. I knew Professor Okeke would make us ALL present, and we did, though we got two breaks during that 4-hour block.

After a quick stop to check e-mail and such, Miguel and I headed off to MBK to pick up Angie, then to the tailor's to pick up our suits.

I love my new suits so. *____* Everything fit well and was wonderful and finished, so I paid the last of my balance and carted the stuff back to the hotel. Miguel had to carry a LOT more because of his huge order, so we all got in a cab.

We arrived at the hotel with JUST enough time for me to change my top (from a business-y blouse to something nice and pretty), and catch ANOTHER cab (with JT in tow) to the Piman Restaurant for our Farewell Dinner.

PIMAN RESTAURANT --

This was a traditional Thai dinner theatre place. We sat at these low table with cushions and it was so cool. Dinner was served in little bowls all at once, and whenever we wanted more, we could! I thoroughly enjoyed the food, not just because I was starving by then. And even though it was Thai food, it wasn't spicy. Yay! I had a bit of everything, to be adventurous and daring. XP Everyone in the program showed up and we were all just having fun and enjoying our last official day of the program.

And after dinner was fresh fruit and coffee for dessert. Little round melon balls and pineapple rock the house. XD I got my dessert just as the Narrator Lady was explaining about the show we would see.

There was going to be six different performances. I guess there was a tourist group from Spain in the theatre, because she was narrating in English and Spanish (the brouchure said there were 6 languages available). She explained about the instruments, and before every act, she explained what we were going to see. The traditional Thai dance looks simple, but it's actually very hard. I snapped as many pictures as I could, but I was sort of in the back and there was a post in my way. Grrrrr...!

And there was a bunch of really pretty guy dancers, too. ;__;

Anyway, after dinner, a bunch of people went out to party/drink at Khao San Road. I declined because I'm not really so big a drinker, and I was pretty tired by this time from the long day.

WEDNESDAY:

Today, I went to see the tailor lady and paid her for my suit (2,940 baht). EVERYONE was there, trying on their suits and dresses and things they got tailored. It was pretty crowded and after oohing anf aahing some, I left. I didn't have anything more to fit, so I didn't want to take up space.

I HAD planned on going to River City and Yaowarat today, but I was lazy. That, and I figured that if I was going to go to Chiang Mai, I could just buy all the handicrafts and jewelry I wanted there. XP I took a nap and finally left the hotel to go to Silom and visit Royal Exclusive Travel again. After talking to everyone, I decided that I WOULD go to Chiang Mai this weekend. I booked a flight and hotel for 3 days/2 nights in Chiang Mai with the Agency (the lady remembered me and I told her I had a great time in Samui). I leave Friday at Noon, and come back Sunday at about 5pm. And it cost me less than 6000 baht! For everything! Damn, it really IS cheaper than going to Samui or Phuket!

I'm going to try and do a one day trek, go to the Night Bazzar, go to the famous Wat on the hill (where there's a jade factory), the hilltribes, the handicrafts center... everything! I'm going to really try and pack it all in! That rmeinds me, I need to go buy a cheap little tourist book on Chiang Mai or something. ^^;;

After booking everything, I was hungry and since I was so close, I went to MBK. I had a meal at McDonald's, then wandered MBK, trying to find a good (cheap) pair of Teva's or something, to wear to Chiang Mai, since I don't think my sandals can survive much more. I found Teva's, but they were the real kind and thus, expensive. I also went to visit my favorite stall lady again.

^^;;

She didn't seem to be doing any business today when I walked by, so I felt bad, plus there was stuff I was planning on getting anyway. I walked away with 3 large silk bedcovers, 3 small silk bedcovers, 3 silk kimonos, and 5 silk scarves... all for 5000 baht. ^^; I went a bit over my budget of 4000 baht, but it was okay. I really haggled the lady for discounts since I've bought so much from her already, and she was very happy.

I carted all of that back to the hotel and was glad to just rest. The weather was very muggy and nasty, and it rained later in the night. So, I was pretty glad that I didn't go to Lumpini Night Bazaar with a bunch of others (we talked about it at breakfast and while waiting for the tailor). Plus... I spent a lot of money that I should save for Chiang Mai.

And now it's Thursday. I want to get my laundry done one last time (so I have things to wear/pack for Chiang Mai). I also need to think about food... and showering... and getting that book/map of Chiang Mai. And packing. And filling out MORE postcards.

Hahaha... I'm busy, but not. This is kind of fun.
