*beats the unholy crap out of LJ*

Goddamned thing was down all day for me and I thought I was going to lose my mind. ;_; I'm so addicted to LJ that it's not even funny, especially when my inbox is stuffed full of replies that I can't reply to.

So this post shall be a big major thing, conveniently LJ-cutted for your reading pleasure. I meant to post last night but... well, I was lazy. XP

... this does not bode well for me. >_O

I still haven't packed my bag for Koh Samui. XP I'll do that in a bit, then shower, then sleep. My flight doesn't leave until after 10am, and it's about 45 min. to the airport, so I'll be able to snag breakfast before I go, too. Yay for not having to pay for food. Especially since I splurged for dinner tonight, and had KFC THEN came back to the hotel with crisscut fries and buttered corn as a snack. So delicious!

Also, there seems to be enough of us going, and since I get to Samui first (I think), and have lodgings all settled, my room is an impromptu meeting zone. XD Everyone is going to be calling me when they get in or something, so we can all go as a big group to Koh Phangan and the Full Moon Party together. Big group = negotiation power with the speedboat people.

Bah... once I get to my hotel and settle in, I'm either going to take a nap or camp out at the pool or something. Actually, more likely nap, so that I can stay awake all night at the party (if I stay and it's not too scary and doesn't suck).

And now... yesterday's happenings, since I actually Did Stuff.

So Tuesday was a rather ho-hum day, except for the fact about me and Miguel going to Tony Roma's. Tal ended up coming with us, too, so it was pretty fun. It turns out that the restaurant is on Soi 5, close to Nana Station, so lots of old white guys would come in with the Thai ladies of the night they've picked up. I actually saw TWO BIG GUYS with this one, tiny, Thai lady seated near us. I was in shock and a bit disgusted, especially afer seeing the way one guy kept mentally undressing her. We had a lot of fun conversation and stuff, and the food was SO awesome. I'd been craving a lot of meat. The bill was over 2000 baht for all three of us. XD

Ah, and we stopped by the tailor's before dinner. Me and Miguel just wanted to schedule appointments for our fittings, but it turns out that most of our stuff was done already and we tried them on right there. X3 My suits are SO awesome and fit SO well! I just had to have the shoulder of the suit jackets taken out a bit, because they were tight. Otherwise, I was VERY pleased and impressed.

Anyway, after dinner, we decided to walk around a bit because Tal wanted to find Nana Entertainment Plaza. Basically, it's a 6 floor complex full of... that's right... SEX. It was SO seedy, I felt the extreme need to shower. All these old white guys with little Thai girls/ladies. The first floor was incongrous enough, with bars and such, the second floor had strip sorta clubs (I looked into one as I passed by and saw girls in bikinis dancing), and Tal pointed out that the third floor was motels. XP And I was with two GUYS, too! They kept getting harrassed and propositioned by the women. I felt so out of place it wasn't funny.

We left after a few minutes and took a cab back to the hotel.

I showered.

Oh, and today we visited the UN. XD We got a little briefing on the UNHCHR (High Commission on Human Rights) and other such organizations. It was interesting to me, even though I was dozing off through some of the presentations. But we got a free pen! And a copy of the UN Charter. And now I'm determined to score and internship with the UN if I can.

Also visited the gift shop and bought this AWESOME poster of Bangkok (all of it) for 250 baht. A bit pricey, but the poster ROCKS.

And now... to finish the last of the crisscut fries before I pack and shower.

I'll be internetless all weekend, but if I don't post something but Sunday night or Monday morning, worry.

*knocks on wood*

^^;;

Oh, and everyone pray for good weather for me! If it rains while I'm in Samui, I'm going to be freakin' pissed.
