So, I'm in a rather bad mood. Or, I was. The maternal unit and I were supposed to see RotK today, but it fell through. Like I should ever believe what my parents say. You'd think I'd know not to trust them by this point.

Anyway, I mostly got upset because I was quite strung along into thinking we were going to go until the very last minute. I don't like getting hyped up for something only to have my hopes cruelly dashed. So I got rather pissy and didn't want to stay in the house with the parental units, so I grabbed up the keys to the SUV (big car = ego boost) and drove off.

I vaguely considered watching RotK by myself, but I didn't want to do that in a bad mood AND alone. So I went shopping instead. Because shopping makes me feel better. Damn my weakness. Anyway, I hit Best Buy first in hopes of finding the GW Boxset there, but it wasn't. What WAS there was the full set of Fruits Basket AND the 7th volume of Saiyuki.

I got them.

As well as the soundtrack for RotK, which is quite beautiful and DOES have Pippin's song in it. X3 Also, there's 7 double-sided collectable cards that come with the CD. Well, you only get one card. I want the rest of them now. Because I was looking at the cover of the CD, which had Smeagol on it. Then I noticed the same CD, but with Gimili on the cover. This led to a frantic search for me to find the prettiest cover. BWHAHAHAH! And I lucked out! I was ABOUT to get the CD with Theoden King on it, when I found the LAST CD WITH FARAMIR ON IT!

*omgsqueeee!*

It turns out the the cards are the covers to the CDs. So I have a Faramir card, and on the reverse is Denthenor.

[music rant]

I popped the CD into the player in the SUV because I just couldn't wait. It's quite lovely. I could remember the scenes in my head. What I like is that the theme for Gondor/Minas Tirith is all horns and brass, which is a contrast to the theme for Rohan/Methuseld which is Celtic in flavor, with strings.

I still need to listen to the rest of the CD. :3

After Best Buy, I headed to the mall. Went to Walden's Books right off and XD XD XD Demon Diary Volume 5 was on the shelves! I grabbed it up right away. Then I went to Kay-Bee toys and XD XD XD found the LOTR Monopoly game! I bought that right quick, too. Because it comes with the One Ring. I shall wear it and all shall tremble.

After skulking about (went to B. Dalton, too... and had to stop myself from buying The Idiot's Guide to Middle Earth/LOTR. What I read was pretty cool though, so maybe I'll buy it at a later date.

Now am home, sequestered in my room. My mom is apparently aware that I was upset and says we will see RotK tomorrow. I am not holding my breath.

I didn't mean to, I would've called you but I figured you were working. Too bad you weren't there at Best Buy, though. Over $150 spent that I could've pumped your card with.

I went to the Mo Val Best Buy. I think there might be another full set there left, but I'm not sure. You should be able to get at least 3 of them at that price.
