Political Debates Tonight

I was wondering if anyone was going to watch the debates tonight? I don't even know what time they are, or what channel. But this looks good, especially since Arnie won't be there.

Arnie is stupid for not going. Apparently his Kennedy kin aren't advising him very well after all!

Still, you'd think they'd be able to tell him that not debating is a bad thing generally.

Well, it was Arnie's choice not to go to the debate. Of course, now he's being slammed because he's going to that other debate, where they'll have prepped answers beforehand. From the reports, his speech as CSULB wasn't all that much... oneliners and no public policy at all.

*nods* I get the feeling that he'd like the notoriety, may even have a few good ideas, but whoever's supposed to be back there pulling the strings isn't doing very well.

Notoriety is all well and good... for an actor. I have the distinct feeling that Arnie is going to make his term seem like a new "role" to play. While I agree that most professional politicians have scores of people behind them, making sure they don't fuck up (look at Reagan), I still think Arnie wouldn't be very good for CA.

Who knows? What matters more is who he has behind him, after all. But you're right, he's not looking so good right now.
