Okay, so the McDonald's I go to plays the weirdest damn music inside the building. Today's song of note?

The Theme from SHAFT.

Yeah, absorb that into your brain for awhile.

In other news, I have a copy of Law School News, National Jurist, and the Course Schedules for Summer and Fall Semester. Now I just need to remember to attend the International Law presentation on Thursday and schedule an appointment for advisement, and fill out my financial aid crap.

... once again, I must reiterate how very Monday it is today.

Who's the black private dick
That's a sex machine to all the chicks?
SHAFT!
Ya damn right!

Who is the man that would risk his neck
For his brother man?
SHAFT!
Can you dig it?

Who's the cat that won't cop out
When there's danger all about?
SHAFT!
Right On!

They say this cat Shaft is a bad mother
SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
I'm talkin' 'bout Shaft.
THEN WE CAN DIG IT!

He's a complicated man
But no one understands him but his woman
JOHN SHAFT!

- Theme From Shaft

The Theme from SHAFT.

Who's the man! *grin* Have you ever seen the episodes of "The Tick" with Taft? Classic!

It's times like these that I'm glad I don't know more popular music... that sounds like the sort of thing that gets in your head and never leaves. >_<;;

It is one of those songs that does get in your head. But it's a cool song, maybe not so much for the lyrics (which were rather risque for the early 70s when it came out) but definitely for its great funkadelic R&B guitar licks and horns.

Isaac Hayes is the Man (and the voice of Chef on South Park, these days).

Actually, I haven't. >_<; I just like that after the Chair tried to tag the moon, every episode afterwards the moon had a big "CH" on it.

Yes, yes it does. But the song was replaced this afternoon. By music from the early 90s!

>_<;

I'm so old.

I love Chef. And his Salty Chocolate Balls. :P

When I first heard his voice on South Park, my mind sizzled and I actually went: "Hey... he sounds familiar..." Then he sang and I knew who he was.
