i always feel better when i have six or seven hours of straight, uninterrupted sleep. and, yay! i got that! see, we didn't have to be on Campus until 9:30 AM, so that means i got to sleep in for probably the last time *ever* this semester.

of course, i had to wake up early to shower, so i lost an hour of happy sleepy time, but it's okay. i was clean. i did, however, pull my hair back into one ponytail instead of the two i've been wearing lately. i think it disturbs my Section mates a bit that i look so damned *young*. oh well. after i slugged back my glass of milk and mulit-vitamin, i got on the BART as usual.

yes, i napped.

i got to Campus a bit early considering the BART schedule but it was okay. i signed in (again) and West Law gave us free things! and breakfast! i like them lots, even though they're only nice to me *now* when i'm a student. once i'm out, they're gonna charge up the ass for everything. still, i got this cool coffee mug (stainless steel! shiny!), a law student handbook (with stuff like the Constitution, Uniform Commericial Code, etc in it), and a really nice pen and bookmark. and i had a croissant au beurre, french vanilla coffee (milk, 8 sugars), and strawberries. it was tasty and i had some good conversation while i ate.

see, i really *can't* work during school. 'cuz the ABA doesn't allow it. and, you know what? when you work, and get paid, it shows up in your taxes and records and stuff. and then, when you take the Bar, there's this "ethics" part of the Exam. yeah, the Bar goes through your records and history and absolutely rakes you over the coals for infractions. so if i *did* work, i'd have to defend myself from the Bar when they ask me why i knowingly broke the law and rules. they guy i was talking to told me about his friend who got a DUI in his first year. his *only* infraction. they went to town on the poor guy.

well, today was more lectures, a mock Civil Procedures class, lectures. we also met the first year faculty and stuff.

lunch. ham sandwich, chips, cookies, Sprite, fruit salad. also, this was a working lunch so we met members of the Student Bar Association. and people in clubs. clubs that we're not allowed to join until our Second year. but it was okay.

after lunch was more lectures. my ass was getting tired. and i shouldn't drink diuretics in the morning. we had a couple of breaks between the lectures, and they fed us more. bottle of water and an apple.

then, for the closing, there was a mock trial. it was The People v. Lenny Wolf... a trial of "Little Red Riding Wolf." it was *so* funny. much needed after all the boring lectures. who knew Red had spent time in Juvie? and that being described as "Big Bad" was a Wolfism and discriminatory against the Wolf?

much amusement.

carried all my heavy books home (must study later today, after i organize all my stuffs and balance my checkbook). slept on the BART, but the guy across the seat from me kept moving and kicking my foot.

was most displeased.

now i have to do a lot of work. damn. i think i might break down my books, like a lot of other students are doing. i'll see after my first week.
