After reading Fandom Wank, and cleolinda's summaries, and even published articles about this whole thing, I am so very glad that I have not read the Twilight series and have no desire to.

Because, really, I understand about reading it purely for the wank fodder and enjoying its immense horribleness. I actually don't understand legitimately liking this series as prose. Well, maybe for the first books if you're a teenage girl or whatever, but Breaking Dawn? Really? I read the spoilers and summaries and excerpts and it pretty much squicked the HELL out of me, and I'm very hard to squick in the first place.

But reading the wank has made my day endlessly more amusing.

... oh, and I'll qualify myself for sticking through and reading terrible things, because besides the bad fanfics I subject myself to near daily, I've read Piers Anthony. And yes, I was misguided and thought I liked it. Until I grew a brain and realized how horrible he writes.
