Goodbye LJ...

This is just to make it official for those who don't know, but I'm leaving LJ completely. For the rest of this week at least. Tomorrow is the Bar Exam and it runs for three days, so don't expect to see me about at all until Thursday night. Or even until the weekend since I plan on spending Thursday after the Bar drunk and crying. No online time for me at all. *whines* It will be hard, but I know I can do it.
So, because I'm a total h0r like that, I am declaring this to be a spam post. Go ahead. Run wild! Give me fics, give me links, give me pics, just babble to your heart's content and rape my inbox so I have something to see when I finally DO come back to the wonderful world of LJ. I don't even care if you write me a drabble and post it one word at a time. XD;
Though, I've tried to make a spam post before and it failed a bit miserably, so I don't have very high expectations this time around. Feel free to prove me wrong though!

Re: taking a page from mikke's book!
Date: 2006-02-21 03:53 am (UTC)"Yes, sir," she said, a model of soldierly attention, stiff-backed and stony-faced.
He set the papers on his desk and regarded her with an expression that suggested hurt. "You called me sir."
"Yes, sir."
"Don't you want to go to the colonies, Lady?"
"No, sir."
"Why not?"
"I...don't care for the colonies, sir." Une did not know what she would be tomorrow, but she remembered what she had been yesterday, and from where she had come, and Une had no desire to return to either.
Perhaps he understood what she was then, because he said, "Well. I wouldn't want to force you to do something that was unpleasant for you, my Lady. I can find another officer to serve as my aide while I am at Frontline."
"Yes, sir. Thank you, sir."
"You could at least be my pilot, though. It's not too great a strain on your sensibilities to fly to the colonies and back, is it?"
"Of course not, sir..." she said with a touch of indignition. Then she smiled slightly. "Not at all, Lord Treize. It would be my pleasure to take you."
They left the next day, and Une found her heart behaving oddly, jerking a little whenever she thought of how she would soon salute him goodbye. Perhaps he felt the same, because he never left the cockpit, although he had dozens of reports to read before they landed at the Frontline Command Center.
"I will miss you, my Lady," he said to her, near the end of the journey. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, and saw him smiling fondly. A lump rose in her throat. He continued: "Without you, I shall have to do all my own shouting."
"I...will miss shouting on your behalf, my Lord," she half-whispered.
"You know, your voice is much more beautiful when you speak softly, Lady Une."
"But it is more useful as a shout, isn't it."
Treize laughed and she shivered. "When I am a General, you will be my colonel, and you can shout and whisper and sing for me, and I will change the world. With your help, I couldn't fail."
"The world? The whole thing?"
"The whole thing," he repeated, and the room felt hot, even though they had long ago left the atmosphere, and they were deep in cold space.
"My Lord Treize," she said, clutching at the controls so her hands didn't shake, "I can do even...unpleasant things for you, if you ask. If you need me to do them. I am a soldier."
"Thank you, Lady Une. I'll keep that in mind." His voice was light, but she felt terribly heavy in a shuttle so full of conviction. "Lady..." Treize finally touched her, covering her hand with his. Her skin burned. She turned her head to look at him. "Thank you, Lady Une," he said again, and then he kissed her.
The kiss went on much too long to be considered even vaguely appropriate, but Une no longer cared.
