windandwater: (tentacles!)

This is just to make it official for those who don't know, but I'm leaving LJ completely. For the rest of this week at least. Tomorrow is the Bar Exam and it runs for three days, so don't expect to see me about at all until Thursday night. Or even until the weekend since I plan on spending Thursday after the Bar drunk and crying. No online time for me at all. *whines* It will be hard, but I know I can do it.

So, because I'm a total h0r like that, I am declaring this to be a spam post. Go ahead. Run wild! Give me fics, give me links, give me pics, just babble to your heart's content and rape my inbox so I have something to see when I finally DO come back to the wonderful world of LJ. I don't even care if you write me a drabble and post it one word at a time. XD;

Though, I've tried to make a spam post before and it failed a bit miserably, so I don't have very high expectations this time around. Feel free to prove me wrong though!

Duo let out an explosive sigh, and forced himself to grin. "If you were Oz, they would have won the war already," he retorted, and winced; not so much from the pain of his throat but from the rasp he couldn't hide.
"Hn." Heero dropped the barrel of his gun, but still kept his cold eyes on Duo. "Mission?"
"Complete," Duo said, deciding to keep his answers short. The less he talked, the less it would hurt his throat -- and the less likely Heero would notice.
Not that he would notice anyway.
That thought popped up from nowhere and Duo shoved it away. Heero was damn observant, in his own way. He started to shrug off his vest as he walked across the floor, then proceeded more gingerly, as his wrenched shoulders made themselves felt, and dug into the hidden pocket to retrieve the packet of data disks. "This is it," he said, holding it out for his partner to take.
"Backups?" Heero inquired flatly, ignoring Duo's extended hand. Duo fought against the urge to roll his eyes.
"Wiped." He couldn't resist adding a "duh," to the end.
"Good." Heero took the disks out of Duo's hands, and turned back in his chair, hands flying as he unsealed the sterile plastic and set up instructions on his computer.
This time, Duo did roll his eyes, exaggerating the motion even though Heero wasn't bothering to watch. "Good job, Duo," he said in a sotto voce, which was easier to manage. "Why, thank you Heero. Have any problems, Duo? A few, nothing I couldn't handle. Are you hurt, Duo --"
"You're walking," Heero said indifferently. "You aren't hurt seriously enough to require attention."
For an instant, pain blinded Duo, but he swallowed against it and turned away. "Right," he muttered. A new ache had settled in his chest, seeming to intensify all the bruises. But it hurts to walk, Heero, his traitorous heart whispered, and I need your attention, so much...
He growled deep in his chest, and started off for the shower. He felt the sudden urge to scrub his goddamn skin off.
In the bathroom, he locked the door, then stood there staring blankly at the bathroom mirror for a long time. He couldn't quite seem to make himself take his clothes off.
Idiot, he castigated himself, idiot, idiot! What's there to be afraid of? You're back home, safe, ninmu kanryou. Why the fuck are you hesitating?
